Nanuq = polar bear drawing

March.18.2014      DIN-A4      11.7 x 8.3 inch

Description

'I am a very good swimmer, but in the water, they are too fast for me.'

'My nose is very sensitive.'

'I can smell them from nearly a mile away.'

'With my enormous weight I break the ice – down there they are.'

'I like to eat only the skin and the fat, the rest of the seals I just drop.'

The people of the arctic region call him 'Nanuq' - for us, he is a 'polar bear'.

He is one of the most dangerous land predators of our days. Direct encounters with man usually end fatally (for the man).

With 800kg it can reach a height of 11ft.

His ancestor is the brown bear - his skin is - ... - black.

(by the way: he lives in the north, penguins in the south )
