Bodybuilding nutrition = comic drawing

April.09.2014      DIN-A4      11.7 x 8.3 inch

Description

'Oh dear, I can hardly stand it.'

'I'm doing it for 15 years now - it's not bad outside of the competitions - but even weeks before an event, this diet is nearly impossible to bear'.

'5 meals a day and each bone dry - I should not think about it'.

'My girlfriend left me - "only the sport counts for you"'

'Yes, definitely - I'll do everything for that sport...'

How important is 'nutrition'?

'Nutrition epochs' in bodybuilding:

  • The clean period (before 1939):
there were no pharmaceutical agents to support muscle growth
  • The pre steroid period (1939-1959):
no steroids were used in strength training, but there was (rumour) Vitamin B12, which supports muscle growth (it was injected)
  • The steroid period (1960-1989):
steroids were used in weight training (only as an addition - for the last beauty )
  • Growth hormone period (1990 - ...) :
Steroids allow the strengthening of the existing cellular system but growth hormones enhance the cell system (also the organs and bones ) .

There are many different substances with which a bodybuilder can 'optimize ' his training.

The muscle-growth is just one part which can be influenced by ‘helpers’.

Pain and motivation are other areas that can be manipulated. It is very probable that 'athletes' take certain substances (1 or 2 hours before the training) to raise the effectiveness of their next training.

There are experiments in which athletes tested such substances - result: the usual physical limit was exceeded with ease.

Sensational muscle growth by actors

Everybody knows it, a new movie and again a ‘new muscular body’ - an actor who recently was unimpressive just changed.

Well, this stuff works like hell!

(It is interesting that shortly after the film's release, the training plans are made public - only the exercises, not the doping )

What is the difference if you take it or not?

I.e. from cycling doping cases we know the answer – the effect is incredible.

The most obvious case was ' Floyd Landis ' on the Tour de France:
On one day he failed and was overtaken by many 'slower/weaker' drivers. The next day (it was exactly the next day!), he showed a ‘hell ride’ no one could follow - his A and B sample showed doping!

What about 'none professional sports'?

Doping is widespreaded – sometimes the 'athletes' don’t even know that they take certain substances.

The powders that you can buy in stores for 'support' are not tested for doping.

There have been tea-powder, which the manufacturer merged with a medication - great tea, with a great effect
