In every woman lies a big cat.
If she purrs: just be careful!
If she yells: just run away!!
If she moves the paw: just don’t be close!
With ‘CAD’ I want to express 'Computer Aided Drawing'.
This is a prototype for a series of images, which start with a pencil drawing, then are scanned and edited with all digital possibilities on the computer (for that I only use a mouse and free software, not a graphic-tablet).
Currently I don’t know where it leads to, but maybe I will glance a little bit on concept art, fantasy art and matte painting and try to create some effects from there. If it is possible, I always want to use a drawing as a starting point.

I just wanted to draw an animal head as if it was made of long hair. I took a photo-template, sketched it and then roughly drew hair strands.
After scanning, the digital inversion and editing with dark and light digital brush, the idea of the woman's head came up - with that the long hair in the animal head should be explained. I achieved this, by a 3D-figure which I rotated, copied, pasted and partly made transparent.
After that, I've indicated the reflection on the ground (by simply duplicating and vertical mirroring with little darkening).
The work took approximately 3-4hrs. It is astonishing for me what good effects can be create by digital functionality with only a few simple steps. With a pencil I could not imitate the quality.
There are many more 'tricks' to create images on the computer. Tricks, that increase the realism and this very quickly. Not always drawing actions are required.
