South-Germany - Schwaebiche Alb (Lonetal) - 35,154 years BC - 15:47
The trace is still fresh. The wind is good.
Slowly the eyes of the hunter are raising: 'There, on the near clearing, I see you.'
A tentative smile: 'Today I will carry meat back to the cave.'
Rokgar lives in the Paleolithic.
He is a hunter and he works with the flint. Exact blows with chisel made of horn he splits wafer-thin sliver - razor sharp and well suited for the ivory.
Rokgar carves figures - magical figures. Placed in the right places, they help to guide the forces of nature.
More than 35,000 years later we will find some of these figures - it will be the oldest representations of humans that have ever been found - Rokgar is one of the first artists whose works we know.
